ACT BUT DON'T LET THE CURTAIN FALL

I've told you before i don't do politics...i mean...i vote and have my opinion but its quite frustrating to talk about it with anyone within my circle of acquaintances...
Still i could maybe write this down over here and hopefully expect some feedback from people.
I don't intend to speak about the upcoming mayoral elections, the european ones, the recognition of Kosovo as an independent country, the autonomy of Tibet (or lack of it and even segregation of their people and religion), the American elections and the credit crunch that we all know will end up being a global recession ( i mean...nobody lends money to anybody...how can you generate wealth?)
I wont talk about global warming or the actual cooling of the earth this year with the La Nina phenomena...
But i will ask whether the protests in London,Paris (and maybe San Francisco) where justifiable...I understand that people are outraged by the treatment they perceived as brutal by the chinese authorities towards the nepalese people but mind you they are a vast vast nation and i am not to sure if on a hole they value the human life as dear as us in the west...Saying this i know i run the risk of sounding racist but i am convinced they view they society on a very different level...stats and strenght in numbers.
Now i am not saying lets forget about the nepalese (although they consider themselves as part of the chinese republic and their cry is for better and broader autonomy ) but the extreme reactions taken by some people towards the OLYMPIC FLAME was nonsensical...at the end of the day that is not the way to do anything in favour of their cause...
I mean, if you really mean it boycott chinese products and lobby the government to do the same...don't do as Portugal did!My proud nation said it would not do business with Indonesia do to the illegal occupation of East-Timor whilst sending our military helicopters over to be fixed by them.
I its not worth protesting and doing nothing about it...
Its like people think..."well i've done my bit...now let me go and play on my Nintendo made in China".
Do something but if you are going to do it do it with conviction...
AND DON'T PUT OUT THE FLAME OF TOGETHERNESS
